What We Aim to Do

The primary aim of e-DEVOY is to empower young people to become active, informed, and engaged participants in democratic life. We seek to provide them with the knowledge, tools, and opportunities necessary to understand democratic processes, influence decision-making, and contribute meaningfully to their communities at local, national, and European levels.

We aim to increase awareness of democratic values and civic responsibilities among young people. By helping participants understand how democratic institutions function and how decisions are made, we encourage them to take a more active interest in public affairs and civic participation.

Another important objective is to strengthen young people’s understanding of digital democracy and its growing role in modern societies. Through practical learning experiences, participants will discover how technology can facilitate participation, improve communication between citizens and institutions, and create new opportunities for democratic engagement.

The project aims to develop critical thinking and media literacy skills that are essential in today’s digital environment. Participants will learn how to identify misinformation, evaluate sources of information, and engage responsibly in online discussions. These skills are crucial for informed participation in democratic processes.

We seek to create opportunities for direct dialogue between young people and decision-makers. By facilitating discussions, consultations, and participatory activities, we aim to ensure that youth perspectives are considered in conversations about policies and issues that affect their lives and futures.

Another key goal is to strengthen leadership and advocacy skills among participants. Young people will be encouraged to identify issues they care about, develop solutions, communicate their ideas effectively, and take action within their communities. These experiences will help them become confident advocates for positive change.

The project also aims to promote inclusion and equal participation. We believe that every young person should have the opportunity to contribute to democratic life regardless of their background, circumstances, or level of experience. Through inclusive approaches, we strive to ensure that diverse voices are represented and heard.

We aim to foster a stronger sense of European citizenship and shared responsibility. By bringing together participants from different countries and cultures, the project encourages intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation while highlighting common democratic values and aspirations.

Another objective is to support the development of sustainable networks among young people, youth organizations, and stakeholders. These networks can continue promoting civic engagement, democratic participation, and collaboration long after the project has ended.

Finally, we aim to inspire a generation of young changemakers who are prepared to participate actively in democratic processes, use digital tools responsibly, and contribute positively to society. Through education, participation, and empowerment, e-DEVOY seeks to strengthen both individual capacities and democratic communities across Europe.
